Binyad Khaznadar is a lecturer in the Department of Architecture, College of Engineering, Salahaddin University-Erbil.
He was the manager of the engineering consulting bureau from 2014-2016. He was the head of quality assurance unit of the college of engineering 2017. He was the vice dean of college of engineering from 2018 to 2022. Currently he is the head of quality assurance unit of the college of engineering.
He got his B.Sc. degree in architecture in 1998 and the master degree in vernacular architecture in 2009. He got Ph.D. in 2024. He participated in a number of local and international conferences in Baghdad, Germany, Turkey, China and the United States of America.
His papers are published in local and international scientific journals. He has five published book written in Kurdish language, contains essays on variety of architectural issues and historical and cultural issues.
He is practicing architecture as a profession since 1998, when he established his design office. His designs include educational, commercial and housing projects, most of them are implemented in Erbil city.
He worked as an architect in the Ministry of Reconstruction, UN-FAO, and participated in a program submitted to UNESCO for the nomination of Erbil citadel to be within the list of world heritage sites.

My research interest field is located in the studies deals with issues related to architectural design, theory of architecture, heritage, cultural studies, and architectural identity.
