Biography

Current research centers on;

  • Petroleum-based and sustainable lubricants, 
  • Petroleum and petroleum products demetallization, and 
  • Sustainable solvents.

Teaching experience: 

  • More than fourteen years of experience in areas associated with petroleum properties, characterization of petroleum products, distillation and refining of conventional lubricating oils and re-refining of used lubricating oils.
  • More than fourteen years’ experience in teaching theoretical and practical chemistry subjects for second, third- and fourth-year graduate students specifically petroleum and polymer, industrial chemistry, Environmental chemistry, inorganic chemistry, corrosion in ionic liquids, and natural products.
  • Teaching postgraduate study courses such as advanced petroleum processing and solvents and sustainable chemistry.

Research Interests

  • The chemistry of petroleum and ionic based lubricants 
  • Demetallization of petroleum products
  • Corrosion of metals in aqueous and ionic liquids
