Biography

Hawran Abdullah Saeed is an English language professional and a teacher trainer with extensive experience in English language teaching (ELT), curriculum development, and entrepreneurship education. He holds an MA in TESOL & Translation Studies from Aston University and a PhD in Curriculum Evaluation and Development from Salahaddin University-Erbil.

Since 2013, he has taught a wide range of English language modules, including grammar, listening comprehension, reading comprehension, conversation, and academic writing, as well as pedagogical courses for pre-service and in-service teachers. His expertise extends beyond language instruction to teacher training, ELT pedagogy, and curriculum evaluation.

Currently, he serves as the Director of the Salahaddin Entrepreneurship Education (SEE) Centre, where he plays a key role in promoting entrepreneurship education and fostering innovation. He is also the co-author of the book Entrepreneurship Education and has contributed to international projects as a coordinator on behalf of Salahaddin University-Erbil (SUE).

His professional experience includes working with renowned organisations such as Imperial English UK and the British Council (Erbil Office). Additionally, he has secured grants from the U.S. Consulate in Erbil to support U.S. online courses for local ELT professionals, focusing on English language education and teacher development.

With a strong commitment to professional development, he has participated in numerous international training workshops and courses and has delivered training programmes in ELT, pedagogy, and entrepreneurship education. His contributions to language education, curriculum development, and entrepreneurship training continue to make a significant impact in the region.
