Biography

Dr. Hazhar Blbas is an Assistant Professor in the Statistics Department at Salahaddin University-Erbil. He completed his bachelor’s degree in Statistics at Salahaddin University in 2007, ranking third in his class with an average of 85.516. He then earned a master’s degree in Applied Statistics from the University of Central Florida in 2014, with a GPA of 3.425. After returning to Iraq, Dr. Blbas taught at multiple universities, including Salahaddin University, Tishk International University, Knowledge University, and Cihan University, offering courses such as Principles of Statistics, Applied Statistics, and Regression Models. In 2022, he completed his Ph.D. in Statistics at Salahaddin University. He is also the founder and CEO of STAT Office for Statistical Data Analysis and Training, providing guidance to students on thesis and dissertation work. With 35 published papers, 14 indexed in Scopus and 9 in Thomson Reuters, and 378 citations, Dr. Blbas has made significant contributions to the field. He also authored Elementary of Statistics in English.
