Biography

I am currently serving as an assistant professor  at Salahaddin University, within the College of Administration and Economics, under the auspices of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. My academic journey in economics began at Salahaddin University, where I completed my bachelor’s degree, followed by a Master of Arts degree in Economics from 2004 to 2006. My master’s thesis, which was centered on tourism-related economics, was successfully defended, marking a significant milestone in my academic career.    In 2015, I undertook an intensive English language course, achieving proficiency at levels C and D, with the aim to further my studies with a PhD at Leicester University in the UK. However, the economic crisis in the Kurdistan Region unfortunately halted my plans to pursue this degree.    My expertise spans several key areas within economics. I have a strong interest and extensive knowledge in Renewable Energy and Green Growth Economics, which are pivotal in today’s quest for sustainable development. Additionally, I focus on Tourism Economics, Foreign Direct Investment, and Finance, integrating these disciplines into my teaching and research. My academic repertoire also includes skills in Econometrics, Macroeconomics, Academic Debate, and Critical Thinking, all of which enrich my professional and educational contributions.

I aspire My aspiration is to continue contributing to the field of Economics, not only as an educator but also as a researcher, influencing economic policies and practices within the Kurdistan Region and beyond. The journey has been both challenging and rewarding, and I look forward to further opportunities to impact the economic landscape positively.
