Biography
I graduated in 1996 from Salahaddin University, ranked 5th in the biology department. I got MSc degree in medical bacteriology in 2003, Lecturing (Practical cell Biology, Practical immunology, Practical virology, Practical General microbiology and practical medical bacteriology as an Assistant Lecturer and theoretical Zoology, pharmacology and general microbiology ) as a Lecturer. I received a PhD in Microbiology in 2020. I am interested in performing studies related to Biofilm formation, MDR organisms and pathogenic bacteria.
Research Interest
My research focuses on the complex interactions between pathogenic bacteria and their environments, with a particular emphasis on biofilm formation and the rising threat of drug-resistant strains. I am especially interested in exploring innovative strategies to combat bacterial infections, including the use of bacteriophages, nanoparticles, and novel antibiotics. Additionally, my work investigates the potential of probiotics as a natural and complementary approach to managing bacterial populations. Through this multifaceted approach, I aim to contribute to the development of effective and sustainable solutions for controlling bacterial pathogens in clinical and environmental settings.
