Shelan joined Salahuddin University as an Assistance Lecturer in the College of Administration and Economics (Department of Tourism Organizations Administration) in 2014. She is currently conducting her PhD at the University of Huddersfield (United Kingdom) on the subject of Self-Determination and statehood in International Law. Previously, she taught several modules at the Department of Tourism Organizations Administration, such as Laws of Managing Tourism Organizations, Research Methodology, and Nutrition & Human Health.
Shelan has obtained her Master degree in international law (LLM) at the University of Huddersfield with Distinction in 2013-2014. Shelan’s expertise lies in the field of international law and international human rights law with a special focus on Minorities, Indigenous people, Self-determination, and statehood.
