Biography
Dr. Abbas M. Ali, born in Baghdad in 1967, is a lecturer in the Software Engineering and Informatics department at Salahaddin University where he has been a faculty member since 2006. He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in computer from Baghdad and Al Nahrain University and his PhD from UKM University Malaysia. During his years of service, he gave lectures on a variety of topics for Undergraduate and Postgraduate including AI, Data Structure, Computer Architecture, C++ Programming, Machine Learning and Deep learning, Logic Design Fundamentals, and Digital System Design. He also supervised many M.Sc. and Ph.D. students and many graduation projects for different real applications in the fields of Web Development, Database Design, and Network Configuration. In recent years, Dr. Abbas worked on medical diagnosis using machine learning methods and he has several published papers in that field.
