Biography
A Professor of Field Crop Sciences and agronomy researcher, Abdulghany Omer Ismaeel Sarmamy holds a PhD in Field Crop Sciences from the University of Baghdad, College of Agriculture, with extensive teaching and administrative experience at Salahaddin University in Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq. His research centers on the impact of medicinal plant extracts on pathogens and the chemical constituents of plants, employing a range of agronomic and biochemical techniques to analyze plant efficacy in disease resistance and pathogen control. His work advances the understanding of plant-based solutions for sustainable agriculture, contributing valuable insights to improve crop health and resilience in Iraq and beyond.
