Biography

 

Lana Abubaker Ali received a BSc in Architectural Engineering from the Architectural Engineering Department, College of Engineering, Salahaddin University – Erbil (2002). She was awarded an MSc degree in Architectural Design from the same university (2010). Her MSc thesis addresses (Occupation Efficiency in Architectural Space) at the level of public open spaces. She achieved Ph.D. in theory of architecture in same university at (2023) under the supervision of Associate Professor Dr. Faris Ali Mustafa. Her research interests cover several aspects of architectural design, mainly architectural typology and morphology, morpho-language of space, human perception, visual comfort, indoor architectural space design characteristics, daylighting simulation programs, and space syntax theory. She is presently working as a senior lecturer in the Architectural Department, College of Engineering, Salahaddin University - Erbil
