Biography

I obtained my B.Sc. degree in 2011 from Salahaddin University in Erbil, Iraq. After graduating, I worked as an assistant lecturer in the Geology department at Salahaddin University for three years. During my time as an assistant lecturer, I taught various subjects including General Geology, Petroleum Geology, Subsurface Geology, Sedimentology, Petrography, Geomorphology, Environmental Geology, Geochemistry, and Field Geology. In 2012 and 2013, I participated in summer schools organized by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) for the Petroleum Geology course in Iraq and Germany, respectively. In 2013, I was nominated to train undergraduate students in the field. In 2015, I received the HCED Scholarship from the Higher Committee for Education Development in Iraq to pursue my M.Sc. degree in Petroleum Geoscience in the United Kingdom. I successfully completed a Diploma in English and my M.Sc. in Petroleum Geoscience at the Institute of Petroleum Engineering/Heriot-Watt and Edinburgh University in 2017. After completing my master's degree, I returned to my country and resumed teaching in the Geology department at Salahaddin University. I have worked with various international companies in positions such as Geologist Supervisor, Geotechnical Engineer, Well Site Geologist, Logging Geologist, and Field Geologist. My most recent position was as Supervisor of Geologists at Trevi S.P., an international drilling company. In addition to teaching at universities and private institutes, I also work as a trainer at the Institute of Canadian Business Academy, where I teach courses on petroleum topics such as drilling, production, and health, safety, and environment (HSE). My research interests include Wireline Logs, Formation Evaluation, Hydrocarbon Reservoir Characterization, Reservoir Geology, Reservoir Sedimentology, Fracture Characterization, Drilling Problems, Petroleum Geology, Production, Petroleum Refinery, Well Testing, and Stimulation. Currently,  I am a Ph.D. student in Petroleum Geology in the Earth Sciences and Petroleum Department. I have published five research articles in the field of petroleum geology and formation evaluation.

I have a strong background in geology and petroleum-related subjects, both in terms of academic achievements and professional experience. My research and teaching interests cover a wide range of topics within the field of petroleum geology.
