Biography
My name is Mustafa Fahmi Rajab, and I hold a master’s degree in Molecular Genetics, which I earned from Ankara University. Currently, I serve as an assistant lecturer in the Department of Biology at the College of Science, Salahaddin University-Erbil. In this role, I teach several undergraduate courses, including Cytogenetics, Molecular Biology, and Cell Biology, ensuring students gain both theoretical knowledge and practical laboratory skills in these disciplines.
Beyond teaching, I am deeply passionate about research in genetics. My primary research interests focus on topics such as genetic diseases—exploring how specific gene mutations influence disease development—and gene polymorphisms, which involve studying variations in DNA sequences across populations and their correlation with various health conditions. Additionally, I am involved in karyotyping research, where I analyze chromosomal structures to identify abnormalities. My academic curiosity extends to other molecular genetics-related fields, where I aim to bridge research and education to inspire future scientists and contribute to advances in genetics.
