Biography
Rashad H. Mahmud was born in Erbil-Kurdistan Region, Iraq, in 1986. He received the B.Sc. (Hons.) degree in Physics and the M.Sc. (Hons.) degree in Electromagnetics from Salahaddin University- Erbil, Erbil, Iraq, in 2007 and 2010, respectively. Later in 2011, he was awarded a scholarship from the Minstry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Kurdistan Regional Government to pursue his PhD abroad. He earned his PhD study in 2016 in the field of Communications Engineering from the University of Birmingham, Birmingham, U.K. with a focus on Micromachined Terahertz Waveguide Circuits such as Antennas and Filters. He is currently with the Physics Department, Salahaddin University-Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq. His current research interests include the synthesis and integrate of microwave multiport distribution networks/circuits with inherent filter transfer functions based on all-resonator circuits.
