Biography
I obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Salahaddin University-Erbil. After graduation, I worked as an administrator in the College of Science for one year. In 2014-2015, I completed my Master’s degree in Physics with a focus on Optoelectronics. In 2018, I was promoted to Lecturer in Optoelectronics at Salahaddin University. I earned my Ph.D. from Università degli Studi di Milano, Italy, in 2021, and in 2024, I was promoted to Assistant Professor in the Physics Department at the College of Science, Salahaddin University-Erbil. My research spans both theoretical and experimental aspects of nanoscience. Theoretically, I utilize simulation tools such as Quantum ESPRESSO, Gaussian 16, and other programs to investigate the physical properties of materials at the microscopic scale. Experimentally, I apply various methods to synthesize nanoparticles and explore their applications in UV detectors, gas sensors, and other advanced technologies. Currently, I am also a member of the Editorial Board of the ZANCO Journal of Pure and Applied Sciences.
