Sinan Abdulkhaleq Yaseen was born in Erbil (Iraq) in 1973. He received the B.S. degree in civil Engineering from the University of Salahaddin (Erbil) in 1995, M.Sc. and Ph.D. degree in Structural Engineering from the Dokuz Eylul University (Izmir/Turkey) in 1999 and 2004 respectively.

He is a faculty member in the Department of Civil Engineering, Salahaddin University since 2006. He is currently assistant professor in Civil Engineering Department, teaching Construction Engineering, author of more than 15 peer-reviewed publications. His research interests include the area of Deep beams, fiber concrete, shear of high and ultra high performance concrete beams, Strengthening and Retrofitting of Reinforced Concrete members, Sensitivity analysis of non-linear behavior structures, structural optimization, concrete structures, structural dynamics, multi scale numerical modeling and simulation for non-linear dynamic structural performance, steel/concrete hybrid and composite structures, earth quack engineering, and building/bridge aerodynamics and wind resistant design. Design and Supervising (as a consultant) of different concrete and steel structures, Supervising MSc and PhD Thesis in Structural Engineering, Shared conferences and symposiums in different universities.
