Biography
I earned my Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Biology from the College of Science at Salahaddin University, Erbil, Iraq, in July 1999. Following this, I began my academic career as a laboratory assistant in the Plant Protection Department at Salahaddin University, a position I held from 2000 to 2003. During this period, I gained valuable hands-on experience in plant protection research and lab management. In July 2006, I was awarded a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Plant Physiology from the College of Education, Biology Department, where my research focused on the physiological processes governing plant growth and development. This academic achievement allowed me to transition into a teaching role as a lecturer at the College of Agriculture, Salahaddin University, where I taught undergraduate courses in plant sciences for a period of seven years. My responsibilities included both theoretical instruction and the supervision of practical laboratory work. In pursuit of further academic advancement, I undertook a Ph.D. in Plant Physiology through an inter-institutional program between Salahaddin University and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). I completed this rigorous program in July 2017, with my doctoral research focusing on advanced plant physiological mechanisms, particularly in relation to environmental stress and crop productivity. Over the course of my academic career, I have published 19 peer-reviewed journal articles in respected national and international journals, covering topics such as plant physiology, stress biology, and crop improvement. In addition to my journal publications, I have contributed a chapter to a scholarly book.
