Biography

Twana Alkasalias is a Cell and Tumor Biologist, received the P.hD. degree in 2018 at the Karolinska Institutet (KI), Sweden. During his Ph.D. studies, he published 6 articles in highly distinguished scientific journals. He has highly experiences in live cell imaging, microscopy, and gene editing protocols.  Alkasalias has mentored many: undergraduate students in Kurdistan, and under- and post- graduate students at the KI in Sweden. He also initiated and organized scientific journal clubs for master and doctoral student at KI. Previous member of the Doctoral Programme in Tumor Biology and Oncology (FoTO) at Karolinska Institutet.  He has been awarded Ph.D. scholarship from the HCDP at the Kurdistan regional government-Iraq. As well as the Robert Lundbergs grants for Ph.D. students in Sweden. Currently, he is affiliated to:  General directorate of scientific research centre, Salahaddin University.  Karolinska Institutet, Department of Women's and Children's Health, Gemzell Group.
