Biography
Lecturer Dr. Karzan Khaleel Hameed graduated in Chemistry at the Salahaddin University in 2004. He obtained the Master degree with a thesis entitled "Synthesis and Spectroscopic studies of some new 3,4-dihydropyrimidine-2(1H)-one derivatives in organic synthesis". From october 2008 to november 2011.
He obtained the PhD degree-splite site system- with a thesis entitled "Design and characterization of Heterosubstituted cyclopentenone, N-Hydroxy-N-Cycloalkenyl Amide, and Isoxazolidine nucleoside analogs ". From April 2017 to july 2020
he has worked under supervision Prof. paolo Quadrelli from Pavia university in Italy Prof Dr. Ahmed Dizayee from Salahaddin University/Erbil-Iraq, and Prof. Dr. Faiq HS. Hussain from TishK University.
His interesting, pursuing researches in the field of pericyclic reactions and particularly conducting studies on the 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reactions of heteroaromatic systems, chemistry of 1,3- dipoles and their applications in the synthesis of biologically active derivatives (nucleosides) and in 1,3-dipolar cycloadditions (with and without catalysts) conducted in solid phase.
He is member of the Kurdish Chemical Syndicate .
The scientific work of Dr. Karzan is documented by more than 5 papers and few communications to national and international scientific meetings.
